The trick up her own Kevin's sleeve is a trust that Lacie will do exactly what she has just done. The werewolf will have to move if he's going to avoid those chains, and if he moves, he either has to let his counterpart go or drag him along with him. As it happens, he decides on dragging -- and so the one-eyed one deliberately slumps, turning himself into dead weight in his arm. While the werewolf staggers and curses, Kevin drops his own sword and twists, getting his leg around the knight's and knocking him off balance. He doesn't hit the ground completely, shoving the swordsman into the ground instead of hitting it himself, but in this moment, he's vulnerable.
