The moment Lacie realizes what he's doing, more of the chains materialize, swinging out around her in a circle like a buzz saw. Whatever Kevin has planned, she's determined to give him as hard a time as she possibly can. She can already feel herself tiring, somewhat. Her Chain relies on her life-force to sustain himself, and keeping the chains moving so quick and so constantly is sapping at her energy.

She keeps up the moving shield, hoping for an opening to do more than defend herself. With him moving, like this, there's not much she can do. Then, a thought surfaces, and she sends one of the chains sweeping out at just about knee height.

Maybe she can trip him up.
